Master Kevin Ford
6th Degree Black BeltSchool Owner
Master Ford currently holds a 6th degree black belt in the Martial Arts. His main style is Songahm Taekwondo, a traditional Korean martial art. In addition to Taekwondo, Master Ford has trained for several years in Jiu Jitsu, Kickboxing and Hwarangdo to round out his martial arts knowledge. This training is reflected the integrated programs offered at the academy.
Nicola Ford
5th Degree Black BeltSchool Owner
Nicola Ford is the Co Owner of the WTTU Martial Arts and currently a 5th Degree Black Belt and Certified Instructor. Mrs. Ford began her training as a student at Master Ford's club on campus while a university student. Her talent was obvious from the first day as she had danced and taught ballet for several years. After a year and a half, she and Master Ford married and she decided to make martial arts her career.
Al Berjanskii
3rd Degree Black BeltCertified Instructor
Al Berjanskii started training in taekwondo at the age of 11. He has trained in several schools under the ATA/WTTU system. Eventually he came to Edmonton where he started attending WTTU Martial Arts during the spring of 2005. In addition to teaching classes at the Meadowlark location, Mr. Berjanskii is constantly working toward technologically advancing the school.
Tariq Bacchus
3nd Degree Black BeltCertified Trainer
Mr. Bacchus is the highest ranked student in the school, just receiving his third degree black belt. He has been training since 2003. Mr. Bacchus is known for his blazing speed in sparring as well as his athleticism on the grappling mat. Future plans include instructor certification, as well as completing his university degree. Mr. Bacchus is an excellent cook and enjoys learning and teaching in every aspect of the martial arts.
Kyle Robertson
2nd Degree Black BeltCertified Trainer
His hobbies include camping, reading, and of course - Martial Arts. Mr. Robertson is an excellent role model to the younger students, and a conscientious young instructor in the making.Outside of training Mr. Robertson enjoys playing in band and rollerblading.
Charis Hamm
2nd Degree Black BeltCertified Instructor
An excellent competitor, Ms. Hamm has placed in regionally forms, sparring, and grappling. Her next goal is national level competition and testing for third degree black belt. Ms. Hamm is also a highly sought after balloon artist, competing and winning on a world class level.
